A File Format is data saved in a specific structure or format. The specific structure or format type is named and can usually be recognized by a three to four-letter abbreviation that follows a period and the document name. The Software Application Program that you use to create your graphics or text will save the data in this structure or format as it’s own format or may have options to Save As or Export To other File Formats that can be opened by other different software applications. Some File Formats will or will not support your type of graphics text etc. Some File formats may impair your graphics.
